Bobby's Court A fresh dose of new music from the old masters. head banger jams, which to me is the same as the llamas. buzzle bee is up there as one of the best llamas record. the vocals, keys, bass, drums, vibraphone and alot of instruments i don't even know. what i like about it is the way the vocals blend so tightly with the instruments. and it feels like one sound, almost as a instrumental album. i think laetitia sadier sings on it. buzzle bee is a solid classic, warm feel good album all together.

The High Llamas are an Anglo-Irish avant-pop band formed in London circa 1991. They were founded by singer-songwriter Sean O'Hagan, formerly of Microdisney, with drummer Rob Allum and ex-Microdisney bassist Jon Fell. O'Hagan has led the group since its formation. Their music is often compared to the Beach Boys, who he acknowledges as an influence, although more prominent influences were drawn from bossa nova and European film soundtracks.

Buzzle Bee might just be the group's most out-there production yet, as the Llamas churn out eight tracks full of gorgeous symphonic pop arrangements and aloof, lazy melodies that dart in and out of all kinds of studio tinkering. If this is, in fact, something Wilson and Bacharach would have made, they would have had to have made it while under the influence of some very potent psychedelics. Still, too much of it sounds like background buzz, the sort of stuff that Wilson rightly left on the cutting room floor during the Pet Sounds sessions.

The result is as atmospheric as Air, but not as danceably substantial. 60. The kind of music that Tinky-Winky, Dipsy, La-La and Po might enjoy kicking back to after a hard day's romping with bunny rabbits.
