Description

Music video by Brantley Gilbert performing Stone Cold Sober. C) 2015 Big Machine Label Group, LLC.

Bob Dylan's 1974 album, Blood on the Tracks, reminded the world that Dylan was a songwriter without peer. On his next album, he decided to experiment by taking on a co-writer, theater director Jacques Levy. While the songs on Blood on the Tracks were highly personal, these new songs were largely about characters, both real and imagined. The album ends with "Sara," an extremely moving tribute to Dylan's long-suffering wife. The album is also notable for the work of violinist Scarlet Rivera. It's hard to imagine what the album would sound like without her playing, yet she was only invited to the sessions when Dylan spotted her walking down the street with a violin case. He invited her into his car and the rest is history.

The Best of Bob Marley. Another in a seemingly endless series of Bob Marley reissues that continually recycle the same pre-Island Records material, this two-disc package draws on the sides Marley & the Wailers recorded with producer Lee "Scratch" Perry between August 1970 and April 1971 at Randy's in Kingston

But its true character lies in its tangents and outliers-the leisurely electronic pastiches, tipsy dub tracks, and earnest ballads that break up all the n rap songs. The title track wasn’t just one of Madonna’s best singles to date, but also a hedonistic cheat-sheet for clean-living, self-helping ravers to come. As for the darker end of introspection, Madonna offered up a handful of striking songs about the complicated nature of motherhood in Frozen and Nothing Really Matters.

This album is the ultimate; Bob Marley at his most revolutionary. The beat, the political, and the message on the entire album are so inspiring.
