Born Ernest Dale Tubb, this singer was one of the pioneers of country music. He was born in 1914 and was known as the Texas Troubadour. He pioneered the honky tonk style of music that became popular in country music. Even today people emulate the way that Tubb and his band played their style of music. Ernest is also well known for having pioneered the record shop in Nashville which still bears his name. He released 92 singles of which 6 made it to number one on the National Charts.
