A long awaited release.... Finally! The live album "In case you didn't feel like showing up" has always been a cult favorite among Ministry fans. The line-up for this tour was legendary featuring: Ogre, Biafra, McKay, Connelly, Atkins and more. Post-punk and industrial fans alike can agree this was one of those moments in history where magic actually happened on stage and left a lifetime memory in the minds of all who witnessed it. I only wish I could be so fortunate. The VHS I acquired of the concert only makes me wish I could travel back in time and drag my ass out to one of those shows. Anyways, this release is an extension of that show. The sound is raw without any overdubbing... so you'll notice differences between this release and "In case...up". The sound is coherent in different areas and is almost like hearing the show through a different ear. This release is a must! An absolute must!

oh yeah, I've also heard before that the guy singing Ian's parts was Phil Owens from the Skatenigs. however, i have no proof of that.

Ian MacKaye wasn't on this tour was he? There's someone else singing his parts on the Pailhead songs (Chris Connelly?). Besides, when this tour was happening, Ian was immersed in his work with Fugazi. ...unless you're talking about someone else with the last name McKay, who I am unfamiliar with. In that case, I'll see my way out.

Thanks for your review, I hear the sound is muddy, not hi fi at all. Thought there was something wrong with my new cart but I am glad to now know this is how the album is supposed to sound. "In case...up" sounds nicer, more polished.

This was indeed an incredible show to witness. I saw them on this tour (not the particular show this album is recorded from), and it still stands as the best concert I've ever seen. I do remember the band performing "Stainless Steel Providers" at the show I was at, but other than that omission, this set list is the exact same as the concert I saw.

I was wondering about the mix on this- thanks! I didn't see this show but I saw the Chicago New Year's Eve and the Joliet, IL show! Pretty Amazing for sure! Just wish there was a better Cover Art for this !
