I found this LP in mint condition at a friend's record sale along with a few other cowboy related LPs. Nice soundstage and good separation of the string and wind instruments. This note was on the back of the LP, "FAMILY RECORDS are mastered only at leading Sound Studios that employ a Scully recording lathe, with a Westex 3C cutter head, driven by two specially designed Whittier stereo cutting amplifiers". No wonder the recording sounds so good. I'm going to look for more releases for the Family Records catalog.
