Painkiller is full of many memorable riffs and leads from Glenn and . Among the finest moments of the album come from the intense riffing combined with Halford's wailing vocals. In many of the songs, the guitar work is very aggressive, especially in the relentless title track. The songs found on Painkiller are very energetic from start to finish, and each member seems to feed off each other's performances. If Painkiller had a weak point, it would be the lyrics that were put together for the album's songs

How this track can be rated 3.78 out of 5 as of today Friday the 21st of May 2010 is beyond me. A stunning piece of techno from the mid 90s that for me sums up the peak of a classic night during that time, certainly in Dublin anyway but I'm sure many other cities around the world had the same pleasure.... that era is long gone but this track is timeless and still puts shivers through me every time I hear it.I hope to see improved ratings here over time and for this track to have the absolute recognition it deserves. 5/5, no question.
