The Apocalypse Blues Revue - The Apocalypse Blues Revue.
The Apocalypse Blues Revue.
The Apocalypse Blues Revue was an American blues music band formed in 2016. The band features two members of the rock group Godsmack, Shannon Larkin and Tony Rombola, alongside Brian Carpenter and Ray Cerbone. The band's debut album reached the Top 10 of Billboard's Blues Albums chart. Godsmack bandmates Larkin and Rombola discovered their mutual love of blues music for the first time while they were writing together back in 2010.
The album’s closing number, Noumenal Blues finds Cerbone duet with Nancy Koerner, whose silky tones match Ray’s earthy baritone alongside Carpenter’s languidly loping bass line and some fingerpicked acoustic guitar before Larkin, Carpenter, and Rombola put the record to sleep with a bit of unabashed rock. Six years in, and it feels like The Apocalypse Blues Revue is just getting starte. .Gerelateerde artikelen. Contact The Apocalypse Blues Revue on Messenger. The Apocalypse Blues Revue are back with their new album, The Shape Of Blues To Come. Following 2016s self-titled debut, Godsmack’s Shannon Larkin (Drums) and Tony Rombola (Guitar) return with some more bone-shaking blues with Brian Carpenter (Bass) and the shamanistic frontman Ray Rafer John Cerbone. Shannon Larkin discovered Ray Cerbone at a biker bar. The singer had no idea that he was speaking to the drummer from Godsmack, it was just a couple of guys hanging out.
Beginning the album with an easy Blues beat and steely guitar, Evil Is As Evil Does unleashes recognizable vocals that take on a totally new, soulful style, conjuring up images of biker bars and pool halls. Followed by Junkie Hell, which features a war-like drum beat building up tension with slow steady guitars sauntering in, it is a true example of the Blues. Heartfelt, the lyrics speak of losing someone to addiction as Rafer John’s voice drips with emotion. The Apocalypse Blues Revue debut offers up a solid Blues Rock oasis that features well-thought-out tracks. Combining amazing new talent with established talent, The Apocalypse Blues Revue presents heavy, dark Blues with attitude, darkness, and expert skill.
