Description

On the one hand, the Transfiguration occurs after Jesus feeds the hungry multitude, multiplying the loaves and fishes, which reminds us of the Israelites being fed with manna while led by Moses in the wilderness. Also, the Book of Exodus (34:29-35) tells us that when Moses came down from Sinai with the Ten Commandments his face was radiant (in fact, this passage is often referred to as the radiant face of Moses ) just as Jesus’ face shone like the sun during his Transfiguration. But there is one more interesting detail here: Luke’s Gospel (9:28-36) adds that Jesus, Moses, and Elijah were speaking about his departure (that is, Jesus’), which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem. The Greek word Luke uses for departure in the original is exodos, an obvious allusion to Moses’ exodus out of Egypt.

Automatic is the third album by Scottish alternative rock band The Jesus and Mary Chain.

One of the interesting things about the relationship between Jesus and John the Baptist is that John doesn't lay down his tools and follow Jesus after he baptizes Him. Nor, it seems, did John's disciples.

John 21:24 states that the Gospel of John is based on the written testimony of this disciple. Since the end of the first century, the Beloved Disciple has been commonly identified with John the Evangelist

The Message of Jesus: Relationship With Christ: A Bible Study. Various words are used to illustrate different truths of the gospel. The word justification comes from a law-court setting, and redemption comes from a financial setting. But salvation involves much more than those words can convey. Scripture also uses several other terms. It is another word-picture for the gospel, since reconciliation means to make peace between people who used to be enemies. The gospel tells us that we, who were once enemies of God, are now on good terms with him. We are more than friends-we are loved as children and heirs. As Paul explains elsewhere, Jesus died for us. He was the perfect sin offering, and the result is that in him, we might become the righteousness of God. This is astonishing news: Sinners can become God’s righteousness through Jesus Christ.

After Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, both the Pharisees and the Sadducees met at Caiaphas’s palace to express their concern that Jesus’ growing number of followers would incite the anger of the Roman Empire. Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him. But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done. Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles. If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall.

The terminology of a personal relationship with Jesus remains an important part of communicating the core of Christianity to teenagers. Many initially misunderstand the Christian faith either as just another religion or as a set of moral behaviors. Consistently articulating the relational aspect of following Jesus reinforces the true nature of Christianity and the core of the gospel. In recent years, however, I’ve questioned the wisdom of the personal relationship with Jesus phrase to describe Christianity’s core-for two reasons

Samson's Life Depicts Jesus' Relationships. Most of us have heard the fanciful story of Samson, the judge, who killed a thousand Philistines with a jawbone; how he died by pushing apart two pillars of a temple; and how he was tempted by women. We Christians don't talk much about his relationships with women. The relationship of Samson and his wife provides insight into the enormity of God's love as demonstrated by Jesus coming into the world to save all of mankind. The story doesn't stop at Jesus' death. Samson's third, and final, relationship is with his true love Delilah. It's also a rich picture of Christ's love for His Bride.

Do you have a relationship with JESUS? What is your relationship with HIM like? Do you know that HE died for you? Are you grateful? Do you read about HIM in th. .Each of us is beautiful and important!! Not only does GOD not make junk. We are all children of the KING that makes us VIP and each of us is a Prince or Princess. A relationship with Jesus? Oh Yes!!! I have known, loved and served my loving heavenly Father, through the Lord Jesus Christ for 48 of my 70 years. At the age of 22 years, I heard for the first time that God loves me. I heard that Jesus loves me so much that He gave His life for me: that He suffered not only excruciating physical agony, but the even worse agony of actually becoming sin for me and paying the penalty for my sin.
