A diversified, almost completely instrumental album that features time, tempo, and stylistic changes. Some of the tracks have a guitar tone that is reminiscent of Presence-era Led Zeppelin ("On the Corner," "Pushy Girl"). Others show a spacey group emerged in ominous guitar embellishments and strange percussion ("Married to the Scene," "Ollie Oxen Free"). Dolan keeps the instrumental songs interesting through the structures and atmospheres that he and the rest of the band create.

Mostly instrumentals from a Chicago Indie Rock supergroup featuring members of Five Style, Euphone, American Standard and C-Clamp. Traditional chord progressions, melodies and basic song structures get bent out of shape as Heroic Doses flex their technical muscles. Quirky, offset time structures set the pace for their precision-perfect, bright yet biting guitars.
