Patrick Philippe Moraz (born 24 June 1948) is a Swiss musician, film composer and songwriter, best known for his tenures as keyboardist in the rock bands Yes and the Moody Blues. Born in Morges into a musical family, Moraz learned music at a young age and studied at the Lausanne Conservatory. He began a music career in the 1960s as a jazz musician, performing with his quartet and quintet that performed across Europe and won several awards.

Keyboardist Patrick Moraz, well-known from his work in the band YES during Relayer era was releasing with The Story of I his first solo album after his demise from YES. It's a piece of work that is regarded as masterly by some people whereas others including me cannot really appreciate this stuff presented here. But after this one the album really starts to become annoying. He is best known as the keyboardist for progressive rock legends Yes, from 1974-1976, and the Moody Blues from 1978 - 1991. He was classically trained at the Conservatory of Lausanne, but played jazz primarily before entering progressive rock and has been highly acclaimed for his virtuosity.
