Hyetal's vocal sound recalls that of fellow post-dubstep refugees Darkstar. His singing sounds distant, tentative and on the verge of crumbling into a fine dust of ones and zeroes. The resemblance is particularly strong on "Run From The Light," where he yearns gently over tick-tock synths and splashy castanets.

Hyetal is gearing up to release the follow-up to 2013’s Modern Worship with 3-track EP Run From The Light. The collection was inspired by the true electro acoustic reverbs of The Flamingos on their 1959 doo-wop classic ‘Flamingo Serenade’ as well as the most sinister post-punk kraut grooves of Bauhaus, according to press release.
