Walt Disney's Comics and Stories, sometimes abbreviated WDC or WDC&S, is an American anthology comic book series featuring an assortment of Disney characters, including Donald Duck, Scrooge McDuck, Mickey Mouse, Chip 'n Dale, Li'l Bad Wolf, Scamp, Bucky Bug, Grandma Duck, Brer Rabbit, Winnie the Pooh, and others. With more than 700 issues, Walt Disney's Comics & Stories is the longest-running Disney comic book in the United States, making it the flagship title.
The Walt Disney Company started in 1923 in the rear of a small office occupied by Holly-Vermont Realty in Los Angeles. It was there that Walt Disney, and his brother Roy, produced a series of short films collectively called the ALICE COMEDIES. Within four months, the ever-growing staff moved next door to larger facilities, where the sign on the window read "Disney Bros. However, as Walt's ideas continued to grow, he realized more space was needed to fulfill his dreams. Shortly thereafter he acquired more than 200 acres of orange groves in Anaheim, California.
It is considered one of the "core four" Disney comic book titles, alongside Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Uncle Scrooge.

The Walt Disney Company was founded as a cartoon studio in 1923 by Walter Elias Disney. The company began on October 16 as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, a joint venture of Walt Disney and his brother, Roy. Within three years, the company had produced two movies and purchased a studio in Hollywood, but pitfalls in distribution rights nearly sank Walt and his company. The creation of Mickey Mouse in 1928 changed everything. In 1955, "The Mickey Mouse Club" made its debut to a national TV audience. That same year saw another landmark moment for Disney: the opening of the first Disney theme park, Disneyland in California. The company continued its rise in popularity and even survived the death of its iconic founder, Walt Disney, in 1966. After Walt's passing, Roy Disney took over supervision of the company and was later succeeded by an executive team in 1971.
Walt Disney holds an album with sketches of dwarfs from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Walt Disney earned a great fortune on film production, but all financial matters were secondary for him, whatever benefits they could bring. Most of his savings, he put on the protection of his artistic interests. He had no lust for money, and he could have much more of it if he wanted to. Disney considered money as a working tool. It would be wrong to say that Disney struggled for some lofty artistic ideals. However, it was clear that he did not want to depend on anyone else.
