Tales from the Kingdom of Fife is the debut album by Anglo-Swiss symphonic power metal band Gloryhammer. It was released on 29 March 2013 in Europe. In a fantasy version of 10th-century Scotland, as previously foretold ( Anstruther’s Dark Prophecy ), the evil wizard Zargothrax invades and conquers Dundee with an army of corrupted undead unicorns ( The Unicorn Invasion of Dundee ), kidnapping the princess Iona McDougall.

Of the many highlights, "Tales From The Kingdom of Fife" contains some of the greatest power metal songs of the decade. Having the stoyline and lyrics at hand it’s easy for Gloryhammer to achieve rule 18 ‘Your album cover should include at least one of the following: fire, steel, weird glowing magical items, irregularly muscular men, fists thrust into the air, weaponry, magic creatures (preferably dragons), or bright beams of light around somebody/something.

Gloryhammer released their debut album Tales from the Kingdom of Fife through Napalm Records in March 2013. On the 25th of September, 2015, Gloryhammer released their second studio album titled Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards with which the band entered the official album charts in several countries, followed by tours with bands such as Stratovarius, Blind Guardian and Hammerfall.

Gloryhammer is the new project of Christopher Bowes, the mastermind of the Pirate Metal sensation Alestorm. Tales from the Kingdom of Fife is a concept album and tells the story of an alternate-history medieval Scotland, a realm of dragons, wizards, magic and dark sorcery. Pounding doublebass, enthralling riffs and bombastic orchestral parts create the perfect balance between in-your-face speed tracks and epic Metal hymns. I've recently discovered this band through youtube, and after listening to this album I had to download it! Gloryhammer is a powermetal band that was formed by the former vocalist of Alestorm. What I especially like about this album is that it's a concept album, telling a tale of epic silliness. Gloryhammer is ment to be very cheesy, and not to be taken seriously
