Bloom is the fourth studio album by American dream pop duo Beach House. It was co-produced by the band and Chris Coady, and was released on May 15, 2012, by Sub Pop. The album was written over two years of touring and was recorded at Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas, over seven weeks.

Beach House is an American dream pop duo formed in Baltimore, Maryland in 2004. The band consists of vocalist and keyboardist Victoria Legrand and guitarist, keyboardist, and backup vocalist Alex Scally.

After two solid full-length releases in 2006 and 2008, atmospheric duo Beach House broke through in 2010 when they signed to Sub Pop and released Teen Dream, which found itself near the top of nearly every Best of the Year list that year. The much-anticipated follow-up, Bloom, was released earlier this year, proving that Beach House hasn’t lost a step since Teen Dream, and might have even gained a couple. The duo recently re-united with director Allen Cordell to film a video for Lazuli, one of Bloom’s standout tracks. Like their video for Walk in the Park off Teen Dream, also directed by Cordell, the new video features a cast of melancholy characters ambling around an eerie, off-putting and surreal dreamscape. Beach House also announced a massive fall tour they are calling the Frightened Eyes tour.
