King Cobb Steelie is a Canadian indie rock band formed in 1991 from Guelph, Ontario, and later based in Toronto. The band's most successful single was 1997's "Rational", from the album Junior Relaxer. Their music fuses elements of punk, grunge, funk, jazz and dance. The core of the band is singer/songwriter Kevan Byrne and bassist Kevin Lynn.

Ideas ricochet off one other as readily as the different styles of music that cohabit the grooves of the album. It's anyone's guess what the song titles have to do with the tracks they represent, but at least they're amusing. The "all-over-the-map" nature of this album would be refined on the follow-up, Project Twinkle, but King Cobb Steelie showed the band at it's most eclectic and manic.
