Текст песни: If you hate me after what I say Can’t put it off any longer I just gotta tell ya anyway Bye bye baby, baby goodbye. If you hate me after what I say Can’t put it off any longer I just gotta tell ya anyway Bye bye baby, baby goodbye. If you hate me after what I say Can’t put it off any longer I just gotta tell ya anyway Bye bye baby, baby goodbye Bye bye baby, don’t make me cry You’re the one girl in town I’d marry Girl I’d marry now if I were free I wish it could be I could love you but. why begin it? 'cause there ain’t any future in it.
David Steinberg, whom the New York Times has called "a cross between Woody Allen and Lenny Bruce," is second only to Bob Hope in Johnny Carson’s "Tonight Show" guest appearances. He began comedy career with Second City and influenced the careers of John Belushi, Bill Murray, John Candy and others who followed him there. In the early '70s David capped a prolific career as a stand up comedian with four comedy albums, two Grammy nominations, and a successful nightclub act at the Bitter End in New York that catapulted him into television both as a comedian and a writer. In addition to his appearances on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show, David is also known for the memorable parts he created on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour.
Here are 10 David Bowie’s ’70s album tracks worth exploring. 10. 'What in the World'. Inspired by George Orwell’s titular novel, ‘1984’ brims with syrupy strings and a ‘Shaft’-style funk guitar; a ‘Twilight Zone’-style creepy keyboard line seethes underneath, adding unease to the already-ominous lyrical theme. Although the live version of this song was used as a single to promote 1978’s ‘Stage,’ the sub-two-minute version found on ‘Low’ was simply an album track. And what a stunning track it is: Gnarled guitar alternates with dry-sounding drums, haywire proto-synth effects and a slow-motion blues-punk bass throb.
The ’70s sometimes get a bad rap: Often these years are remembered as the musical era that brought us disco at its absolute gaudiest. But there was far more going on in the decade than polyester, sequins and cocaine; the 1970s saw the rise of the singer/songwriter, the birth of punk rock, reggae’s infiltration of the mainstream and the long, strange trip led by some of psychedelia’s finest. In fact, it’s a decade so musically diverse, we had quite a time whittling it down to our top albums
A decade of innovation starring Brian Eno, the Clash, Kraftwerk, Sly and the Family Stone, David Bowie, and more. After the gold rush of 1960s California rock, most of its main players spent the ’70s slowly hippie-twirling towards irrelevance and rehab resorts. Not so for Mr. Young, who was just hitting his stride as the decade turned over, kicking off a run of 11 great albums in 10 years with After the Gold Rush. Physical Graffiti is not the hardest or most influential Zeppelin album. It’s not even their best. But it’s arguably the most essential.
