The DFA Remixes is a series of two remix compilations by influential dance-punk production duo The DFA (James Murphy and Tim Goldsworthy). Unlike previous DFA releases, these are remixes of other artists' work. The first album in the series, Chapter One, was released on 27 March 2006 in the UK and 4 April 2006 in the US. The second album, Chapter Two, was released on the 2 October 2006 in the UK and 3 October in the US. The series was released on CD and vinyl with different track listings.

Second collection of James Murphy and Tim Goldsworthy's remixes features reworkings of tracks by Goldfrapp, Hot Chip, Junior Senior, and Nine Inch Nails. MIDI-horn fanfares propelling the track to absurd levels of tunefulness. Hot Chip's "Colours" meanwhile is the halcyonic flipside to the stark electronic pulses of the duo's remix.

We know that that the DFA can do dynamic mutation as well as anyone, but Chapter Two reveals that it's their quest to become pioneers of the hypnotic groove that is the more seductive.

Whereas the first volume featured the duo not only capturing the ears of slack-jawed bloggers but also figuring out their comfort zone, the second disc highlights their most recent work in hopes of bringing casual listeners up to speed. There are some noticeable differences between the two discs. First, the remixes are more expansive and symphonic, at times extending passages and compositions to almost 14 minutes in length. Second, the group experiments more with textures, atmospheres, and arrangements rather than making a cowbell-driven dancefloor-filler meeting a percussive workout.
