The album finds Torske not so much stretching his limits as taking a comfortable stroll through the territory he helped outline. The music here is immediate and consonant, resulting in an uncomplicated album that feels content with its firmly middling style. With 'Byen,' Torske offers up a warm, summery dose of minimalistic electronic music. The album ebbs and flows beautifully through its luscious piano melodies and its ability to use synth to great effect. Clean Air" is a wonderfully imagined, piano-driven number, while "Fanfatas" shows his funk leanings. Occasionally, a lack of variation does rear its head though - "Gata" features the closest thing to vocals that the entire album sees, with its soaring chants.
