Aegnor looked in wonder upon the mortal for she was wiser than before he could reckon and much did she ponder in those days spent walking alone. Andreth's face soon kindled alight of Aegnor's own internal fire, and her heart rejoiced for such energy that she had not ever beheld. She taught him many things of the race of Men and its history, and she in turn became learned of the kingdom of Elves to whom Aegnor was a high prince.

Alcest is a French post-metal band from Bagnols-sur-Cèze, founded and led by Neige (Stéphane Paut). It began in 2000 as a black metal solo project by Neige, soon a trio, but following the release of their first demo in 2001, band members Aegnor and Argoth left the band, leaving Neige as the sole member. In 2009 drummer Winterhalter from Les Discrets (and formerly Peste Noire) joined Alcest's line-up, after eight years with Neige as the sole full-time member.

Aegnor loved a mortal woman - from when he first met her to their parting in The Halls. Aegnor still wanders aimlessly there, watching the Ages pass and fall. The girl was different; Aegnor could tell she would be a memorable one from the moment she walked through the door. She wore a short pink dress with a torn tutu in the same colour -like those teenagers would wear at their prom nights that never stayed intact until the next morning-, mascara rivers running down her cheeks, the braid that tied her hair behind her head ruined, and no shoes. Not the ind kind of no shoes, but rather the -my-shoes-on kind
