Concubine" offers a different mood, slowly breaking out into spacious drums over a dank bassline which brings to mind Tryptych-era Demdike Stare.

We loved the arrival of this pair earlier in the year – when they brought us the brilliant ‘ The Box ‘. And now Swedish duo Snow Culture have just released their debut EP. Suitably enough it’s called ‘EP1’, and features five songs (well, four and an extended intro). Ana Diaz and Oskar Sikow (him out of Kate Boy) deliver an impressive introduction to themselves, with two more tracks in particular (‘Paris’ and ‘Slow Down’) standing out as big highlights alongside ‘The Box’.
