David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Nick Mason, Richard Wright On 2 July 2005 Pink Floyd performed at the London Live 8 concert with Roger Waters rejoining David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright. It was the quartet's first performance together in over 24 years - the band's last show with Waters was at Earls Court in London on 17 June 1981.

George Roger Waters (born 6 September 1943) is an English songwriter, singer, bassist, and composer. In 1965, he co-founded the progressive rock band Pink Floyd. Waters initially served solely as the bassist, but following the departure of songwriter Syd Barrett in 1968, he also became their lyricist, co-lead vocalist, and conceptual leader.

He also feels like Gilmour’s decision to carry on as Pink Floyd after Waters left in 1985 continues to be a point of contention. I think it rankles with Roger that he made a sort of error in a way that he left the band assuming that without him it would fold, says Mason. But they haven’t appeared anywhere in public together in the past seven years, and when Gilmour cut the 2014 Floyd album The Endless River as a tribute to the late Richard Wright he didn’t even consider inviting Waters to participate. Why on Earth anyone thinks what we do now would have anything to do with him is a mystery to me, Gilmour told Rolling Stone.

Works is a compilation album of songs by British progressive rock band Pink Floyd, released in 1983. It features a variety of material, including two of the band's early singles, "Arnold Layne" and "See Emily Play," alternative mixes of tracks from The Dark Side of the Moon and the studio outtake "Embryo.

Roger Waters joined the other members of Pink Floyd for their last full show together on June 17, 1981. Roger Waters played his last complete concert with Pink Floyd more than four years before officially parting ways. On June 17, 1981, Waters joined David Gilmour, Richard Wright and Nick Mason at Earls Court in London for the final date of The Wall tour. But this wasn't the end of any old tour. To promote Pink Floyd's sinister rock opera, the band created a massive stage show that required eight additional musicians and more than 80 crew members.
