The Spinners 1975 vinyl LP titled, Pick Of The Litter.
Pick of the Litter (The Spinners album). Pick of the Litter is the sixth studio album by American R&B group The Spinners, released in August 1975 on the Atlantic label. The album was produced by Thom Bell and recorded at Sigma Sound Studios in Philadelphia.
The batch of ballads on Pick of the Litter are proportionately excellent as well, highlighted by Dionne Warwick's second guest appearance. Fambrough's debut as a solo lead demonstrates a gentle and supple intonation, perfectly matched to Warwick's agile and effective style. The album's primary focus track was the aforementioned "They Just Can't Stop It (The Games People Play).

Spinners is the third studio album recorded by American R&B group The Spinners, produced by Thom Bell and released in April 1973 on the Atlantic label. The album was the group's first for Atlantic after leaving Motown. Spinners includes their first American top-ten and R&B number-one hit "I'll Be Around", along with the successful songs "Could It Be I'm Falling in Love", "One of a Kind (Love Affair)", "Ghetto Child", and "How Could I Let You Get Away".
Pick of the Litter is generally considered the last of the quartet of classic Bell-produced studio albums the Spinners released between 1973 and 1975, and to mark the end of the most creative phase of the group’s career – while future releases would have memorable moments, contemporary critical opinion is that none of the group’s later material matches the enduring quality. and top-notch consistency of these four albums
This 1975 album celebrates love found, laments love lost, and pledges love again while the smooth vocals and rich orchestrations punctuate the message. Games People Play" became a huge hit with its poetic lyrics and a female "character" answering Wynne's queries. This group just doesn't put out bad albums, and "Pick of the Litter" is another in the long line of excellent productions. The Spinners were at their zenith in the early and mid-70's and this shows why. From their Atlantic debut album "Spinners" (best album of all time in my opinion) to "Mighty Love", "New and Improved", and "Pick of the Litter", they have a string of four albums hardly matched by any soul group ever.
Pick of the Litter became the Spinners’ highest placing album on the Billboard 200, reaching number eight; however it was the group’s first Atlantic album to miss the top of the R&B albums chart, peaking at number two. The album includes the distinctive "Games People Play", one of the group’s signature songs, which became their fifth single to top the R&B chart and a top 5 hit on the Billboard singles chart. Pick of the Litter (異界繁盛記 ひよこや☆商店, Ikai Hanjōki - Hiyokoya Shōten) is a Japanese shōjo manga series written by Yuriko Suda that was serialized in Monthly Asuka from 2004 through 2007.
