Frank Froeba, His Back-Room Piano And His Boys.

Frank Froeba, His Back-Room Piano And His Boys. Frankie Froba And His Boys. Back Room Piano ‎(3x7").

Frank Froeba, who played piano with Benny Goodman's big band before Jess Stacy, worked steadily around New York for decades without gainging much recognition. He was a swing/pop pianist with impressive technique who could sound like Teddy Wilson but also like a cocktail pianist. The music on this rare 10" LP could be used for sing-alongs or as superior swing-oriented background music. Backed quietly by bassist Thomas Barker and drummer Thomas McDougal, Frank Froeba sounds fine, making one wonder why he was permanently mired in obscurity.
