Austrian Death Machine. Austrian Death Machine.
Austrian Death Machine is usually hated by most metal heads once they hear that this is the side project of Tim Lambesis from As I Lay Dying. However, this band destroys As I Lay Dying in terms musically. This album is also better than the first release, Total Brutal. The album is mostly made up of songs named after quotes from Arnold Schwarzenegger movies and the lyrics are all about Arnold. The lyrics in the album don't really matter because it is not supposed to be a serious album. Double Brutal has some pretty catchy songs and good riffs. Overall, Double Brutal is an enjoyable album. I would recommend it highly if you are just looking for a fun album with lots of content. Most Recommended Tracks: "See You At The Party Richter" "Come On, Do It, Do It, Come On, Come On, Kill Me, Do It Now" "Allow Me To Break The Ice" "Conan, What Is Best In Life?"
Band Name Austrian Death Machine. Album Name Double Brutal. Released date 29 September 2009. Labels Metal Blade Records. First off, I hate metalcore, and knowing that this album is produced by profesional Crybaby, and frontman for Corporate Christian sell-out trendcore band, As i Lay Crying (as "Arnold" refers to his band), Tim Lambesis was definitely a huge turn-off when listening to this album. Aside from that, this album is actually pretty damn good. Sure, there might be some "modern" metal sounds in some of the tunes, and there are a few more breakdowns than i would've liked to hear on this album, but it still is a solid Modern Thrash Metal release.
Album · 2009 · 24 Songs. The parodic premise of no-frills thrash metallers Austrian Death Machine-the Arnold Schwarzenegger–referencing side project of As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis-coalesces brilliantly on Double Brutal. Jackhammering riffs and gravel-harsh vocals abound, especially on the Total Recall–nodding "See You at the Party Richter. Rounding out the riotous collection is a faithful cover of Metallica's warp-speed "Trapped Under Ice" and a slash-and-burn take on Judas Priest's "Hell Bent for Leather. Double Brutal Austrian Death Machine.
One additional note: the instrumental work on this album is uniformly terrific, and it features plenty of shredtastic guest appearances from Billy Sheehan, Unearth guitarist Buz McGrath, the Human Abstract's Andrew Tapley, Living Sacrifice's Rocky Gray, and more. But this project may have run its course, as far as reward on listener investment is concerned. Exclusive Prime pricing. When I heard Austrian Death Machine's first album, Total Brutal, I was impressed. This album is amazing in my opinion.
Listen free to Austrian Death Machine – Double Brutal (Double Ahhnold, I Need Your Clothes, Your Boots, And Your Motorcycle and more). Double Brutal is the second full length album by As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis' parody project Austrian Death Machine. Unlike the previous album, Total Brutal, Double Brutal is a two disc effort; the first disc composed of original songs inspired by Arnold Schwarzenegger movies, and the second disc being covers of songs that can relate to Schwarzenegger movies
Austrian Death Machine is an American thrash metal side project from San Diego, California, founded by As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis to be a parody of and tribute to Arnold Schwarzenegger's films.
