András Adorján (born András Jocha, 31 March 1950, Budapest) is a Hungarian chess Grandmaster (1973) and author. He adopted his mother's maiden name, Adorján, in 1968. In 1969–70, Adorján secured the title of European Junior Champion and in 1969 at Stockholm, finished runner-up in the World Junior Chess Championship to Anatoly Karpov. Qualification as an International Master came in 1970 and as a Grandmaster in 1973.

Soon, Andras Adorjan won various international competitions: "Jacob-Gabe" in Copenhagen (1968), "Concours International de Flute" in Montreux (1968) and "Premier Grand Prix" in "Concours International de Flute" in Paris (1971). As one of the best flutists of his generation, Mr. Adorján performed as soloist with the best chamber and symphony orchestras across the entire world, first as the principal flutist in renowned symphony orchestras in Stockholm, Cologne, Baden-Baden and Munich
