Redirected from The New Bomb Turks). The New Bomb Turks are an American punk rock band formed at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in 1990. The founding members are Jim Weber, Eric Davidson, Bill Randt, and Matt Reber. Sam Brown replaced Bill Randt on drums in 1999. Early on their inspiration came from the Devil Dogs, Lazy Cowgirls, Union Carbide Productions, Didjits, and the Fluid.

I heard of the New Bomb Turks by accident, and I was immediately interested. Everyone raved about this CD, so I bought it. It lives up to it's reputation. I first heard this album back in college when I was in a hastily-formed house band and our guitarist wanted to cover a couple tracks off this. Man, it freakin' blew me away - best punk album I had ever heard and probably still is. The bass work on a lot of the album is a real surprise as most punk bands don't seem to do their four-stringer any favors. On this album, the bass and drums work together to really amp up the faster tracks. Every time I've made an MP3 mix for workouts or running, at least 2 songs from this album always show up.
