Микс – Peter Brötzmann Chicago Tentet - SignsYouTube.
Both were recorded by Brötzmanns Chicago Tentet, a group featuring such free-jazz heavyweights as Mats Gustafsson (on straight sax), Joe McPhee (trumpet), Jeb Bishop (trombone), Ken Vandermark (sax) and Fred Lonberg-Holm (cello), both open with a lengthier dose of studio material before breaking out the more energetic live recordings, and both are top-notch collections. However, Signs is definitely the wilder, freer release of the two; its 17-minute title track catches the band in full chaotic swing
Peter Brötzmann (born 6 March 1941) is a German free jazz saxophonist and clarinetist. He studied painting in Wuppertal and was involved with the Fluxus movement but grew dissatisfied with art galleries and exhibitions. He experienced his first jazz concert when he saw American jazz musician Sidney Bechet while still in school at Wuppertal, and it made a lasting impression.

Peter Brötzmann has led a number of internationally renowned, large group, improvising ensembles since the late 1960's. The latest is called the 'Chicago Tentet'. First organized in Chicago in January 1997, the group has toured extensively in North America and Europe, and has released eight albums of material. All in all, the Chicago Tentet is a veritable 'Who's Who' of the contemporary improvised music scene's cutting edge. The Tentet has had a rotating line-up since its inception.

Peter Brötzmann has written a letter announcing that he'll be mothballing his Chicago Tentet, having reached what he feels is the project's creative peak. He told David Keenan in The Wire 345: "For the audience even the routine is a kind of show and they like that. But it comes to a point where the band starts to fulfil expectations and I think I hate that. Peter Brötzmann Chicago Tentet + 1 Café Oto London November 9-10, 2012. Reprising a legendary three-day residency at Dalston's Café Oto in April 2011, saxophonist Peter Brötzmann's Chicago Tentet roared into town for two nights as part of the London Jazz Festival, the penultimate dates in a nine-day European tour. Incredibly, given the inclement economic climate and the busy schedules of a star-studded roster bursting with leaders in their own right, this band has hit the road relentlessly, several times each year, since its inception in 1997.
