All Over the World: The Very Best of Electric Light Orchestra is a compilation album by the Electric Light Orchestra, released in 2005. Originally released exclusively in the band's home market (the UK), the album sold very well, becoming the ELO's first Top Ten entry since Dino Record's compilation album The Very Best of the Electric Light Orchestra hit number 4 in 1994. All Over the World sold over 300,000 copies in the UK alone within a year and a half of its release.

While it does contain the terrific "Showdown," which was missing from Essential, All Over the World is inexplicably missing ELO's first American Top Ten single, "Can't Get It out of My Head," along with such other key tracks as "Do Ya," "Calling America," "Roll Over Beethoven," "10538 Overture," and "Boy Blue  .

ELO's debut album was named & Electric Light Orchestra' in the UK but & Answer' in the USA. Why? A record company secretary reportedly phoned the UK company to obtain the album name but was unable to do so. So she left a note saying & answer'. Only three tracks from 'Out of the Blue' are on 'All Over The World: The Very Best of ELO' - Mr Blue Sky, Sweet Talkin' Woman and Wild West Hero - so there is very little replication

All Over the World" is a song by the Electric Light Orchestra (ELO). The song also appears on the soundtrack album Xanadu, and was performed as well in the 2007 Broadway musical Xanadu. Released after the single "Xanadu" (a collaboration with Olivia Newton-John), this was the third Top 20 ELO single released from the 1980 soundtrack, peaking at number 13 on the US Billboard Hot 10. .
