Well this is an interesting one. I received a bunch of cassette bootlegs a few years ago and among them was one that had a side clearly labeled as "D is for Dumptruck demos. was the first album for the Boston band in question, which made it's bow in 1983, first on Incas Records, and re-released on Big Time two years later. At any rate, that label was a bit of misnomer, as the majority of the dozen cuts were actually demos for Dumptruck's second LP, Positively Dumptruck.

Swan left late in 1986, leaving Tiven to carry on for one more album, For the Country, before dissolving the band in 1988. The band re-formed after settling legal disputes with their label in 1995 with a small-scale club tour of the . and a new record deal. Days of Fear followed that same year; Terminal was issued five years later and Lemmings Travel to the Sea appeared in early 2001.

Their second album, Positively Dumptruck was recorded at Mitch Easter's Drive In studio in Winston-Salem, North Carolina with Don Dixon producing "By the end of 1986, a year and a half of pretty constant touring had taken its toll on the band," Tiven remembered. Steve Michener had quit the band shortly after Positively had been released. After relocating, Tiven worked as a computer programmer. Songs recorded by the band between 1988-91 were eventually released as Days of Fear in 1994, on Unclean Records
