Innocent Victim is the 11th studio album by British hard rock band Uriah Heep, released in November 1977 by Bronze Records in the UK and Warner Bros. Records in the US. Although it did not chart in the US or UK, Innocent Victim went on to sell more than 100,000 copies in Germany alone, and reached No. 19 and No. 44 in New Zealand and Australia, respectively. The single "Free Me" was a No. 3 hit in New Zealand and peaked at No. 3 in South Africa.

The resulting album doesn't cohere as neatly as Firefly did, but manages to keep the listener engaged thanks to a combination of slick performances from the band and a handful of truly great Uriah Heep songs. Overall, Innocent Victim's blend of sharp, short rockers and pop-friendly ballads feels like an attempt to court the American AOR market.

Innocent Victim was recorded at Roundhouse Studios between July and September 1977 (with a break for Uriah Heep’s European tour) and was released in November 1977 by Bronze Records label in the UK and Warner Bros. in the United States. The album failed to chart in Britain as well as in America, but it was very successful in Germany (more than a million copies were sold in that country alone) and New Zealand, where the single Free Me was a No. 1 hit. The 2004 CD release included six bonus tracks.
