In 1958 the Dutch Swing College band made a very inspiring version of it in the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, a time when Peter Schilperoort temporarily . There exist one earlier Dutch version of African Queen, recorded february 1957, when Kesber and Andre Westendorp were still present during a radio broadcast in Hilversum.
