The release of this album with its fusion of classical, traditional folk and rock music, its mixture of instruments (cello, harp, electric guitar, traditional and modern drums) and its evocation of a utopian atmosphere and vision of humans in harmony with nature, immediately set it as a benchmark in the Celtic music revival of the 1970s.

This album arguably sounds more "Celtic" than his other albums, because on his other work he sometimes sings in French and even his Breton Gaelic has a French flavor to it, different from the accents heard in Scotland and Ireland. To my taste any Alan Stivell album is a treat. This one is a different flavor from most of the others and is very enjoyable.
