Magic Slim, a singer and guitarist acclaimed as a keeper of the flame of electrified Chicago blues, died on Thursday ( 21 Feb 2013) in Philadelphia. He was 75. His death was announced by Blind Pig Records, the label for which he had recorded since 1990.
