Description

From the album, "The Royal Impression" 2000. Contains a sample of "Rapture " by BLONDIE.

Because Joe and Wang are so popular heres another video.

A truly odd album, The Royal Impression features Won-G, a self-acclaimed Hatian rapper with a poster-boy stance best illustrated on the text- and photo-heavy CD booklet. His rhymes flow quickly with surprising liquidity, and the beats bounce with esoteric flavor, making this an alluring yet uncanny album that doesn't seem to fit any established template, not even a niche rap style - a rare and undeniably remarkable attribute for the oft-derivative rap genre circa 2000

Won-G next founded his own label, Happy World, in partnership with a friend's parents, and caught the ear of Beyond Music, which picked up his 2000 album The Royal Impression. Produced by Won-G's brother Dubble M and featuring cameos from Layzie Bone, the Outlawz, Yukmouth, and Sylk E. Fine, The Royal Impression projected an upbeat, positive energy and a freewheeling, eclectic range of influences ranging from pop, dance, and urban to the sounds of the rapper's native Haiti.

Impression is the fourth and final soundtrack for the anime series Samurai Champloo, released simultaneously with the preceding, Playlist on September 22, 2004. It features hip-hop production by Force of Nature, Nujabes, and Fat Jon. Of the four soundtracks, Impression offers the most variety due to being created by three different sources. It also contains guest vocals by rappers Suiken and S-word, members of Tokyo rap group Nitro Microphone Underground, as well as MINMI.

Won-G has released several records, including: Shadow of the Rains (1994), Do It, Do It (1995), Royal Impression (2000), No Better Than This (2001), Explosion (2002), Rage of the Age (2004), and Haiti Prince (2008). Won-G has released singles Rich Together feat Rick Ross (2015), Racks (2015), and I Can’t Sleep at Night (2014). He was the first independent artist sold in Virgin Megastores, Sam Goody, and Warehouse Music. Won-G has had several songs and albums on the Billboard charts without the support of major record labels  . She once recorded an album in 2001, however it was shelved after her label folded.
