Beverley's Trojan V2 Mango. The group split up after releasing the 1981 album Knockout Hibbert continued to record as a solo artist throughout the 1980s. In August 2007 Toots & the Maytals released Light Your Light, which featured re-workings of older songs such as "Johnny Cool Man", as well as new material.

If you’re going to do something do it right. Produced by Leslie Kong the track was released on a white and orange Trojan Records 7″ (TR 7740) as the flip to Delroy Wilson singing Show Me The Way in 1970. Then included on the Funky Chicken LP from the same year. The flip on this Pyramid release is Pee Pee Cluck Cluck by Toots And The Maytals which was also produced by Leslie Kong in 1970. Although purists would never consider "Johnny Cool Man" funk, there's no denying there's a subtle funky flavor to this song, bubbling around the rough arrangement and The Maytals performance. The Dynamites laid down a surprisingly sparse backing for the number, fired by the sharply syncopated beats and percussion and counterpointed by the equally adamant riffs. Do the Reggae 1966-70.
