Although Hawkins and Hodges are the featured soloists on most of these tracks, tracks 7-22 display more than a few inspired moments by Harold Baker on trumpet and Jimmy Hamilton on clarinet. This is a thoroughly delightful CD with generally very good audio quality. The one exception is track 18 which seems to present an unusual level of buzz or static. Highly recommended for fans of both Coleman Hawkins and Johnny Hodges as well as anyone who enjoys the sounds of tenor or alto saxophones along with superb supporting musicians.
