Having made a good impression on me with their EP The Frailty of Human Existence last year, 5 piece band Plague Mask, hailing from Syracuse/NY now present their new album Failure In Repetition. Although I obviously didn't yell my complaints about the shortness of last year’s EP loud enough (the new album is not very much longer - 5 songs and 18:19 mi., I’m pretty happy with the mins and secs I am given. On Failure In Repetition Plague Mask manage to refine their already individual blend of toner/doom sound.

Plague Mask began as a short lived effort called Commune, formed in the winter of 2011 in Syracuse NY and inspired by everything. Just before our set we were told that it would be our last show with Jesse behind the kit as he has other things to put his focus into. We understand and appreciate the time he invested in this with us. After nearly 5 years of line up changes we have decided that this will be the final change. We will all continue to make music which I will keep everyone up to date on here.
