From the excellent Kraut-disco of "Interstate" to swirling space-crunch on "Chicago Indian," Power of Seven is the group's most accomplished album. It's the set where the programming abilities of Hillage and Giraudy finally caught up with developments by younger producers on the electronic scene. Although the whale noises on "Davy Jones' Locker" are just a tad passé, most everything else works on this solid album.

I just friggin love this album. You can listen to it on repeat over and over, great for long road trips, one of those seamless collections that reveals more on each listen. "Night Owl" is one of my favorite System 7 tracks, period, with that deep guitar-like bassline that enters the mix after awhile. Gets me every time. True legends of electronic music, and this one in particular is a gem, even with their huge back-catalogue of music.

I just set a new record on this album. Playing it on repeat from 8 AM till..19:03 while programming; I sometimes just put something on very softly and change it as soon as i start to take notice of it. But this one just melts into your mood and takes over it. Etheric melodies, smooth little beats... beautyfull little album for background noise without making you loose concentration. A+
