The NHFA's influence can be clearly discerned in both Schalit and Conheim's post-Savage Vigilance recordings. The NHFA spun off another prank-call. First album named Behind the mask released in 1996 and issued by the excellent lable Music is Intelligence proves that Vigilance had potential in prog metal realm but somehow they've lost along the highway couple of years later. They play a kind of progressive metal tipical german in sound, teutonic how I like to call it who rely more on guitars and vocals, but aswell the keybords are also good and have some nice moments.

Formed in 1993, Vigilance released their first album, Behind the Mask, in 1996. A year later they released Secrecy and this would be their final output. The last known line-up consisted of Fank Otto Conrad (vocals), Uwe Fleischhauer (guitars), Dago Delevie (bass), Kai Uwe Broek (drums) and Günter Eiken (keyboards). With strong keyboard melodies, somewhat accented vocals and a 'typical' power/progressive metal sound, Vigilance will appeal to fans of bands such as Queensrÿche. Thanks to Bosh66 for the addition.
