Naked Eyes - Voices In My Head (12' Mix).

Naked Eyes are a British new wave band that rose to prominence in the early 1980s. The band had four US top 40 singles, but had little commercial success in their homeland. Their first hit, "Always Something There to Remind Me", was a cover of the Burt Bacharach/Hal David standard. The band had subsequent hits with their own compositions, "Promises, Promises", "When the Lights Go Out", and "(What) In the Name of Love" in the United States.

This studio album has never really been released by itself officially on CD (released outside North America as "Burning Bridges" with more tracks and different artwork), even though CDs were starting to be made in Japan and (then West) Germany, so obviously another fan took the liberty to make this page. Most of the tracks are on the "Promise, Promises" compilation. Before I had that, I had the original Columbia House tape on EMI America, and I just got the LP. "Could Be" was left off the CD due to lack of space. Only the first one is a Bacharach/David cover. Naked Eyes were more obscure back in the UK, with this sole charting single only reaching The latter is in a different version, with alternate lyrics like "cup of tea" which just don't work here in the US!
