Days of Pearly Spencer" (or in later releases "The Days of Pearly Spencer") is a 1967 song written and originally performed by Northern Irish singer-songwriter David McWilliams, and included on his second album David McWilliams. Although it charted in several countries in continental Europe and in Australia, the original version was not a chart success in either the United Kingdom or Ireland.

The Vietnam Veterans chronology. The Days of Pearly Spencer is a compilation album by The Vietnam Veterans, released in 1988. It was the band's last full-length album before they broke up. Their record label gave the following statement: "The Vietnam Veterans are no more. This album contains material which was recorded during long night sessions, but remained unreleased. With the re-recordings of the old "demo" songs, they want to prove that they are better than ever. Reportedly, David Bowie once named McWilliams as his favourite songwriter, an album, Days of Pearly Spencer, comprising tracks from his three albums, was issued by Kapp Records in the US in 1968. He moved to London, and released albums and singles on the Parlophone and Dawn labels in the 1970s. McWilliams moved back to Northern Ireland in 1978, a compilation album, The Days of David McWilliams, was issued by RPM Records in 2001. McWilliams died of an attack at his home in Ballycastle, County Antrim, in 2002

The Days of Pearly Spencer is a collection of unreleased material, including re-recordings of earlier songs (from their first album 1983). This album is from 1988, and was their final album under the name The Vietnam Veterans. Trivia: The Vietnam Veterans was a french band from the 80's (1982-1988), and they released 6 albums. Band members (mostly Mark Enbatta, Lucas Trouble and Martin Joyce) have released several albums after that under different band names.
