Something Wicked This Way Comes is the fifth studio album by American heavy metal band Iced Earth. Released on July 7, 1998, it was the band's first album to feature bassist James MacDonough and guitarist Larry Tarnowski, and is the only Iced Earth album to be solely produced by Jim Morris, who has worked with the band since 1996's The Dark Saga.

Released in 1998, Something Wicked This Way Comes offers Iced Earth virtually replicating their previous effort, The Dark Saga, but with somewhat less inspired results. Burning Times," "Stand Alone," and "My Own Savior" are fine slabs of the classic metal/thrash metal combination the band has become known for, but they lack the spark of yesteryear

Later this year Iced Earth will release the first part of a double album concerning the band's mascot, Set Abominae. That cd will be titled Framing Armageddon (Something Wicked Pt 1). However, these releases refer back to an album from earlier in Iced Earth history, when Matt Barlow still sung for the band. The disc of which I speak is none other than Something Wicked This Way Comes
