Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest is a 1993 ambient techno album by The Fireman, a duo consisting of Paul McCartney and producer Youth, who is best known as a member of Killing Joke and the Orb. The album consists of samples of McCartney material, mostly from the sessions that spawned his Off the Ground album, as well as samples of "Reception" and "The Broadcast" from Wings' 1979 album Back to the Egg, as remixed by Youth.

Strawberries, Oceans, Ships, Forest. When the mysterious Fireman album came out, it was largely ignored until rumors started floating that somehow Paul McCartney was involved with the project, à la Percy "Thrills" Thrillington's easy listening version of Ram in 1977. The thing is, it's a bit disingenuous to say that Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest is a Paul McCartney record in the strictest sense.

Album by The Fireman. Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest. MusicBrainz: Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest.

An ambient electronic album, the project emerged from Paul’s request to producer Youth for remixes of songs from his previous album Off The Ground, using elements found within the songs themselves

The identity of the Fireman, the creative force behind Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest, might have remained equally obscure, and club revelers would have been none the wiser. But the truth leaked out to the British press shortly before the album’s . release last fall, confirming rumors that the Fireman is a collective pseudonym for McCartney and Youth, a British dance-music producer and former member of Killing Joke. Together, the team has concocted an appealing collection of nine variations on a musical theme set to a techno dance beat. The Supremes were the first to tackle the Lennon-McCartney songbook with the release of the album A Bit of Liverpool in 1964, at the height of Beatlemania.
