After a hiatus, her next album, Mitsou (Éponyme) (1999), featured hip-hop-influenced beats and a street-oriented rock sound. She also co-wrote and co-produced all the tracks. A club-oriented EP Vibe followed in 2002. La Collection (Unidisc) 1997 (compilation).

Born September 1, 1970 Mitsou is a Canadian pop singer, businesswoman, television & radio host, and actress. She uses her full name when acting, but records simply as Mitsou.

This is an album of French-Canadian Christmas standards, tunes Mitsou obviously grew up with, and now, she's recorded them herself. In concept it reminds me of Linda Ronstadt's Canciones de mi Padre and Mas Canciones. Mitsou shows great enthusiasm for the material, with lush production and tuneful harmonies. It's schmaltzy, but it's a Christmas album.
