This was one to get when it first came out in 83 but its not aged particularly well for one reason or another. A few of the tracks like The Id, The (early) Doors, Bump, 49th Parallel have been over-comped in my opinion. They are all still good tracks of course.... but part of the appeal of Mind Blowers was the shock of first hearing them way back when. A few of the other tracks are middle-ranking and don't stick in the memory. I know Julian Cope was a big fan of this one .... which is why 49th Parallel, Bump and The Liverpool Set ended up on his manager Cally's record label Antar (on the two Gone comps).Still - if you see it cheap it's definitely worth a go.
