In 1997, the album was remastered by Paul Hamann and David Thomas for its inclusion in the Monster anthology box set. All lyrics written by David Thomas; all music composed by Chris Cutler, Jim Jones, Tony Maimone and Allen Ravenstine, except "My Town" and "Friends of Stone" by David Thomas. Messenger are a German traditional heavy metal band revolving around guitarist Patrik Deckarm. They formed and released their debut album Titanic Suicide in 1990, which was followed up with Asylum X-T-C in 1994. Messenger then didn't release anything until 2000 when the EP Infected came out. The early naughties saw the band release a 2003 demo, Feel the Fire and then another EP, Kill The DJ!! By this time Patrik Deckarm was the only original member of the band remaining. It was only in 2006 that Messenger released their third full-length album, Under the Sign, after a gap of twelve years.
