Land of the Loops - Refried Treats, releases in 1997. It’s definitely going in the next mix. Found that it’s on this site now which is weird. First released in 1996, on Land of the Loops’ Bundle of Joy album, in 2019 this is indeed a vintage piece, yet its age hardly shows. To reveal its age more, this song, and the album it appears on, were composed entirely using analog processes. The use of cassette recording machines certainly adds to the general warmth and nostalgic tone of the song, particularly on the vocal samples. Sounding as though they were taken from 1950’s sitcoms, these voices, in combination with the loops, remind one of a simpler and more naïve time.
