The Charlatans : Tellin' Stories,альбом, рецезия, трек-лист, mp3, тексты песен.

Tellin' Stories is the fifth album by the British alternative rock band The Charlatans, released on 21 April 1997. It includes the final contributions of founder-member and keyboard player Rob Collins who died in a car accident midway through recording. The album was their most commercially successful, having three top ten singles, which remain their career's highest charting.

Tellin' Stories, the follow-up to The Charlatans, should have been triumphant, but tragedy struck midway through its recording, when keyboardist Rob Collins was killed in a car accident. Collins was an integral part of the band's lineup, creating a distinctive, swirling, neo-psychedelic sound, and it seemed unlikely that the band could carry on without him, much less record a record as earthy and warm as Tellin' Stories.

Inital pressings of LP included a foldout 'The Charlatans Tellin' Stories' colour poster. Track durations printed on the inner sleeve. Dedicated to Robert James Collins.

The Charlatans is the fourth album by the British alternative rock band The Charlatans, released on 28 August 1995. It went to the top of the UK Albums Chart the same year. The Charlatans is rated 84 in the Melody Maker's top 100 albums of all-time list from 2000. Select ranked the album at number 17 in its end-of-year list of the 50 best albums of 1995. The album's original title was slated to be The First Shag in Ages, named after a chapter from Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting.

THE CHARLATANS Tellin Stories (1997 UK 11-track CD album including the singles One to Another North Country Boy How High and Tellin Stories picture sleeve BBQCD190). The Charlatans 5th studio album is a glorious collection containing no fewer than 4 Top 20 singles including the catchy 'North Country Boy', the powerful 'How High' and the outstanding 'One To Another'. The Dylan-esque 'Get On it' features some brilliant lead guitar work from Mark Collins whilst 'How Can You Leave Us' also delivers a superb 1960s vibe. Area 51' is an innovative instrumental track and 'You're A Big Girl Now' provides a lovely contrast with its acoustic flavours. Tellin' Stories appears in the following lists: 1997 albums. 10 lists, 2,044 members. The Charlatans (UK band) albums.
