Rhythm changes are a common 32-bar chord progression in jazz, originating as the chord progression for George Gershwin's "I Got Rhythm". The progression is in AABA form, with each A section based on repetitions of the ubiquitous I–vi–ii–V sequence (or variants such as iii–vi–ii–V), and the B section using a circle of fifths sequence based on III7–VI7–II7–V7, a progression which is sometimes given passing chords.

Pack of Lies is a 1983 play by English writer Hugh Whitemore, itself adapted from his Act of Betrayal, an episode of the BBC anthology series Play of the Month transmitted in 1971

From Fundamentals of Jazz Improvisation: What Everybody Thinks You Already Know. Dr. Mark Watkins Director of Jazz Studies Brigham Young University–Idaho. Regardless of the influence, Rhythm Changes are a common contrafact in jazz. A contrafact is a new melody written on a pre existing chord progression. Tunes written over Rhythm Changes are very common; they were especially so in the Swing and Bebop eras. Charlie Parker has stated that learning blues, rhythm changes, and Cherokee in 12 keys well prepare one for almost anything. Original Rhythm is a 32 bar form, AABA.

The Fabulous Counts were an American soul/funk group from Detroit, Michigan. They won local acclaim as an instrumental group and as a backing ensemble for visiting solo acts after their formation in 1968. Working with producer Richard "Popcorn" Wylie, they released the instrumental single "Jan, Jan" on Detroit's Moira Records that year, which narrowly missed hitting the US R&B charts that winter. Their second single, "Dirty Red", passed without trace, but the third single, "Get Down People", hit R&B and on the US pop charts

German hard rockers BONFIRE will release their new album, "Temple Of Lies", on April 13 via AFM Records. Few German rock acts can look back at as long and successful a career as BONFIRE. Counting the predecessor - a group called CACUMEN, which was also founded by Hans Ziller and featured more or less the same lineup - the band has been around since 1972, has operated under its current moniker since 1986 and released more than two dozen albums. Ziller is just as enthusiastic about his rhythm section consisting of bassist Ronnie Parkes and drummer Tim Breideband ("they seem to have reinvented the groove"), and, of course, guitarist Frank Pané ("one of the most awesome musicians I've ever worked with"). Ziller: "With this lineup, we'll be able to increase the hardness level of our material whenever we feel like it.
