Vintage Future is the ninth studio album by the American post-punk band The Intelligence, released on September 25, 2015 on In the Red Records. The album was produced by vocalist and guitarist Lars Finberg and former guitarist Chris Woodhouse. The album features contributions from Finberg's former Thee Oh Sees bandmates Brigid Dawson and Petey Dammit.

The title track sums up the album's bleakly hilarious viewpoint, as Finberg imagines a world "where people get gutted and refuse the suture" as sometime Thee Oh Sees vocalist Brigid Dawson coos in the background (along with Dawson, the album's many guests include Thee Oh Sees' Petey Dammit, Sic Alps' Mike Donovan, and Wounded Lion's Brad Eberhard).

Hence the emergence of Vintage Future, the band's 2015 album. Finberg has always playfully flashed fangs with The Intelligence, but the hard targeting here makes Vintage Future the most thematically biting offering thus far. Across the record, Finberg combs over relationships, ambitions and his own values for trouble spots and indignities, highlighting his findings and skewering as needed. Well, that and the copious panic-stabs of guitar. Vintage Future thankfully shows The Intelligence continuing to move in whatever goddamn direction they want, keeping it permanently casual in this inhuman Business That We Call Show.
